Abstract

Global waste has become a worldwide problem, and we can see a modern phenomenon of discovery businesses being established to focus on solving the waste problem using new renewable technologies. This paper aims to study the purview and provocations of an ecopreneur in India. Ecopreneurs take significant risks in their careers to implement their ideas and make them known to the public. There are numerous risks associated with green entrepreneurship, such as environmental issues, societal issues, and so on. Ecopreneurs must be able to overcome all societal challenges, as they must make decisions that do not harm the environment. Ecopreneurship generates new ideas for rescuing nature from extinction. Ecopreneurship is a type of business that has no negative impact on the environment. Because the ecofriendly organisation has no negative effects on the environment, many customers come forward to support it; as a result, the ecopreneurs would be able to acquire new customers for their organisation. Ecopreneurship is not the same as entrepreneurship. Customers must be educated about green products and services before making a purchase decision. Ecopreneurs must ensure that their businesses remain viable in the market, which requires significant investment.
