The Incidence and Link between Individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder and Special Abilities

Abstract

According to some researchers, there are approximately 10% of the autism spectrum disorder (ASD) population that have specific abilities or talents. In other words, in a population of savants, there is a high proportion of individuals with ASD. Special abilities appear to be more frequent in males than in females, with an approximate ratio of six to one
